Masters of Dirt Freestyle Firestorm Breaks World Records at Zürich Hallenstadion 2026

14 Feb 2026

World record buggy jump, world-first double backflip tailwhip, and 11,000 fans on Valentine's Day

The bass dropped. The flames rose. And 11,000 people in Zürich's Hallenstadion collectively held their breath as a buggy sailed 22 metres through the air. Valentine's Day 2026 didn't need roses — it needed rocket fuel.

Masters of Dirt's Freestyle Firestorm tour landed in Switzerland with a show that rewrote the record books, introduced never-before-seen live acts, and proved once again why M.O.D has been the undisputed king of freestyle entertainment for over two decades.

The Record That Shook the Arena

Jerry Mayr didn't come to Zürich to play it safe. The buggy specialist launched his machine into a 22-metre straight jump — further than anyone has ever gone — claiming a new world record that sent the Hallenstadion into delirium. Not satisfied, Mayr then attempted a 22-metre buggy backflip. The landing destroyed his buggy on impact, but Mayr walked away without a scratch, arms raised, soaking in a standing ovation from 11,000 people who had just witnessed something they'd never forget.

World First: Double Backflip Tailwhip

If one world record wasn't enough, Dorian Macher delivered another history-making moment with a double backflip tailwhip — the first ever performed in a live show. The trick combines two full rotations with a mid-air tail whip, demanding precision that borders on the impossible. Macher made it look inevitable. Another world first, another entry in the M.O.D record books.

New Blood, Legends, and the Stars of Tomorrow

The Zürich show marked the return of fan favourites Swifty Moto and Juli Chut to the M.O.D tour, while Instagram phenomenon Jake 100 made his live debut with wheelie stunts that have never been performed in an arena setting. Every trick was bigger, sharper, and louder than the screen could ever show.

Jose Mincha and David Rinaldo brought world-class FMX to the Hallenstadion floor with bodyvarials and front flips that reminded everyone why freestyle motocross remains the heartbeat of every M.O.D show. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Iron Jaw left jaws on the floor — literally — jumping a Harley Davidson while keeping his identity a closely guarded secret.

Two of the night's biggest ovations went to the smallest riders. Seven-year-old Harley landed a backflip on a bicycle with the composure of a seasoned pro, and 15-year-old Mia Salchenegger conquered the 12-metre roll-in tower, winning over every single person in the building. The future of action sports has a face — actually, it has two.

The Full M.O.D Experience

No Masters of Dirt show is complete without the full sensory assault. The Fuelgirls brought their signature fire performance, pyrotechnics specialist Jost lit up the arena, and Drumatical provided the thunderous live percussion that M.O.D fans know and love — all driving on the relentless beats of DJ Mosaken. SkullBunny, the show's beloved mascot, backflipped a bike and danced alongside Mosaken in what might be the most entertaining mascot performance in live entertainment history.

The M.O.D Event Cockpit — an interactive selfie station that projects fan photos onto the arena's video wall — delivered hundreds of moments throughout the night, turning spectators into part of the show. M.O.D merch flew off the stands as fans grabbed their gear to remember a night that set new standards. Check out the latest drops at mastersofdirt.com/shop.

Respect to the Fallen

Every M.O.D show pushes the limits, and sometimes the limits push back. BMX riders Philipp Schuster and Pim Scheers both suffered broken feet after heavy slams during the show. Both walked away under their own power, and the entire M.O.D Family sends healing vibes their way. That's the price of greatness — and both riders paid it with courage.

Zürich 2027: Already On

After a night like this, Zürich wasn't letting go. Masters of Dirt will return to the Hallenstadion on April 17, 2027 — and tickets are on sale right now. If tonight proved anything, it's that M.O.D doesn't slow down. It accelerates.

The Freestyle Firestorm isn't just a tour. It's a movement. And Zürich just felt every single horsepower.
