Mountain bike world star Fabio Wibmer balanced with his bike at a height of over 65 meters on the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel and rang in the 2022 Masters of Dirt season with a bang.
Masters of Dirt is back: from 10.06. to 12.06.2022, things will really heat up in the Wiener Stadthalle when it's once again "MASTERS OF WHAT?!!! MASTERS OF DIRT!". After a two-year break and postponements due to a pandemic, the best two- and four-wheeled freestyle athletes in the world will once again defy the limits of physics.
World sensation in the Austrian capital: Everything with wheels flies!
To kick off the world's best freestyle show in early June 2022, Masters of Dirt now sent bike star and YouTube billionaire Fabio Wibmer to perform an epic stunt: on the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel, the exceptional talent Wibmer presented his skills at a dizzying height of 65 meters. The 26-year-old from East Tyrol has been thrilling tens of millions of users with breathtaking performances and has been a fixed starter on Masters of Dirt for years.
"The success of Masters of Dirt started in Vienna, meanwhile we have been able to successfully implement our event concept in 17 countries, on five continents with over 200 shows. Although M.O.D already advanced to a fixed star of the international entertainment sky, we feel strongly connected to our Austrian roots. Therefore, every year we create a sporty sensation in front of a well-known landmark of Vienna. This year we went one step further and realized this year's season opener not in front of, but directly on top of Vienna's landmark", M.O.D mastermind Georg Fechter is happy about the season opener.

Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel Managing Director Nora Lamac is enthusiastic about the M.O.D season opener: "I admire people like Fabio for their courage and extraordinary skills. The Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel has been the venue for extraordinary stunts several times in its 125-year history. In 1898, for example, the Viennese Marie Kindl hung herself from one of the wagons, and in 1914 Madame Solange d'Atalide, a famous circus director at the time, took her horse for a spin on the Ferris wheel for a film. In this year's anniversary year, we also came up with something special and launched our "Platform 9" with glass floor - without roof and side walls. With this, we offer the daredevils among our guests a special experience - with an adrenaline kick guarantee."

Outlook: Masters of Dirt - Elements 2023 to be a guest in the provinces
